The design retainer pays for your time on the concept. The sourcing deposit funds the wholesale order. Splitting them means a client who cancels early only forfeits the design work you already did.
How do I protect myself from last-minute changes?
The template sets a 14-day change cutoff and a 15 percent rush surcharge after it. Changes inside that window are added as a milestone the client approves before you buy.
What if a flower is out of season?
