How much should a DJ charge as a deposit?
This template uses 30 percent at booking, with the remaining 70 percent charging 14 days before the event. That covers your date risk while keeping the ask small at signing.
How does overtime get paid?
Add an overtime milestone from your phone on the night. The client taps approve and it charges the card already on the contract, so you are not chasing an invoice on Monday.
Does the template cover uplighting and MC work?
Yes. Both are named in the scope, which prevents the common argument that MC duties were assumed to be included for free.
What if the venue delays load-in?
The load-in clause puts venue access on the client at 90 minutes before start, so a late door is not treated as your delay.
